God Of War Movie is a GO!
Well, I never thought they'd actually make a God of War movie. Let alone get Wes Anderson to direct it, but I guess that's why I'm writing this instead of sleeping on a pile of money, surrounded by many beautiful ladies.

New Tron, Oh My!
A while back I saw the trailer for the new Tron movie, and I have to admit it looked pretty cool. I wasn't a massive fan of the original, mostly because I didn't watch it until about 3 years ago, and it has aged really badly. But this new one has a LOT going for it.
- Jeff Bridges
- Creepy CGI Jeff Bridges>
- Olivia Wilde
- The kickass lightcycles
- A soundtrack by daft fucking punk that sounds seriously awesome.
I'll link the trailers here for anyone who cares to see them, by god they look fantastic. And I'm not usually one who is taken in by pretty lights and computer graphics.
Excerpts from the soundtrack are available here. I don't know how legitimate the page is, so it could disappear at any time, but since it's a radio station, I assume it is on the level. I especially like daft1.mp3. It's pretty badass.
In other news, anyone who knows me knows my love of round-headed buffoon Karl Pilkington. So it is with great joy that I discovered he has a new show on sky (boo!) in which he travels the world, visiting the seven wonders and managing to be disappointed by each one of them. Here's the trailer (apologies for it containing Ricky Gervais. I hate him too):
I love him. Even though his head is like a fucking orange.

I saw Inception tonight, it's awesome. I don't want to post spoilers, but I think this is relatively spoiler free:

Double A Batteries All The Way. Woah!
Now Playing: The Gregory Brothers - Double Rainbow Song
So, I read a cool piece of news about Mass Effect 2 DLC today:
Should be fun.
Another gem I found today. It's like David After Dentist, but somehow funnier.
And since I can't shoehorn this in any other way, here's Morgan Freeman
So, I read a cool piece of news about Mass Effect 2 DLC today:
One of the most glaringly dangling plot threads from BioWare's epic space opera Mass Effect 2 was the issue of Shepard's (potentially) old flame Liara T'soni and her war against the elusive Shadow Broker. The good doctor had changed a great deal since the conclusion of the first game, and the mysterious information broker she sought was clearly a dangerous foe. Fans were left wondering when they would receive answers to the questions left behind by this side story. That time, it seems, is now.
After a few middling pieces of downloadable content, now it seems BioWare is prepared to bring out the big guns and fill in these holes. In "The Lair of the Shadow Broker", Shepard and his crew team up with Liara and confront the Shadow Broker himself. Information on what this great confrontation may entail is scarce, but odds are good it will involve Liara, Shepard and two friends strolling through a new area and blasting some baddies.
While it is good to see some DLC finally tackle things people actually care about, one can't help but wonder if the Shadow Broker is deserving of something slightly grander. The mystery behind the sinister information broker has been hinted at since the very beginning of the Mass Effect saga, so handling it in some bite sized downloaded mission seems slightly anti-climactic. Still, bringing Shepard and Liara together again will no doubt create some interesting tension, and that is something fans will no doubt be able to look forward to. Stay tuned for more information as it develops.
Should be fun.

I fucking love this song
Apocalyptica, Rammstein and Bowie all rolled into one nice package.[1] Lovely stuff.
Enjoy!
Protip: Don't reply to messages when you're still half asleep and expect predictive text to guess what the hell you're trying to say. It comes out with such wonderful messages like "Onion low are you?" and "I wap dreamloh about football"
I wap dreamloh about football indeed.
[1] I'd ignore the video for the most part, it's not related to the song at all
Enjoy!

Easy like Sunday morning, even though it's after noon.
Now playing: The Fucking Am - Acoustico Gomez (Gold)
Thoughts:
Yesterday I saw Apple's latest iPhone 4 damage control piece. It seems that instead of deciding to redesign the phone, issuing an apology, or maybe even just accepting that there is a problem they have instead decided to point the finger at everyone else.
'Oh look at all these phones that stop working if you hold them funny!' Apple seems to have missed the point that nobody had a problem with these phones, as nobody holds them in such a way that causes the antenna to stop working! It's a shame I know fuck all about design, electronics and business, as it seems to me that a trained monkey could have come up with a better phone/PR offensive than that.
In other 'Apple sucks' news, my ipod just decided it was going to forget what half of the stuff contained on it was. The files are still there, it just has no idea what the damn things are now. I guess I should take this as an opportunity to put some different music on there, since I seem to skip more songs than I listen to nowadays.
Why am I even writing this?
Here's a video of a man upstaging a tornado

Well blow me! (Not in the Mel Gibson way)
Crikey, it's been a while since last time hasn't it? It's been 25 whole months since I last posted here. A lot can happen in two years, you know?
It hasn't.... but a lot CAN happen.
I still don't have anything remotely interesting to say, and will more than likely rely on lists and videos to make myself seem more interesting and educated than I actually am. But I guess faux-depth is better than no depth, amirite? [1] Oh, I'll also be ridiculously postmodern, constantly referring to my lack of depth as a way to indicate that I am in fact very deep, but use self-deprecating remarks to hide it, like a complex little flower. Much in the way attractive people pretend they aren't attractive, or ...some other example that makes more sense.
And just to prove my lack of depth, here is a list![2]
Things I learnt today:
That's about it for now, I'm sure I'll forget to update this as soon as possible, and everyone can get back to not knowing this existed.
Later.
[1] Ha I did a rhyme, and the overused footnote is back with a vengeance!
[2] See? Foreshadowing!

- In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, as the bullets travel they go DOOOOOOOOOOWN.
- BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHM
- The most likely first purchase after getting a 42" Full HD tv is blu-ray porn.
- BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHM
- The words 'Fuck Johnny Depp' are a great icebreaker.
- BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHM
- The Inception trailer has a cool noise.
